Hello,
OK here is the scenerio. I need to lock down port 25 (smtp) for just a few email domains on an exchange 2003 box. Right now, we host 57 email domains, and 9 of them need to only have mail come in from MXLogic. MXLogic wants me to lock it down at the firewall level and or the...
I will check with my client and see if this fixes it. Thank you for your link.

I have a client whos outlook 2003 address book points to an older contact list that he no longer wants. In outlook, under contacts(on the main page of outlook), it shows the contact list that he wants to use. But when he goes to compose mail and clicks on his address book, and clicks on...
I had to have NVstart enable in msconfig for windows to load properly. Apperantly this loads the drivers for windows to find, and without it windows would take forever to find the driver.
Whenever I put in my xfx 5900xt video card, windows will get past the scrolling bar stage, and right before it gets to the logon page it will sit at a black screen for about 10 minutes. I put in a pci video card and it boots right up. I have all the latest drivers for everything, and newest...

I think I have figured this out. It has to do with windows updates being FUBARed! I want to kick microsoft in the nuts. Anyways, windows update KB835732 will cause a system to freeze if it is running a VPN client or other listed software. There is a microsoft article on it, I dont have the...
I have 12 machines sitting in my office, they all freeze at random points. They are winxp mostly but one has windows 98 and has the same problem. It is not hardware related, they are all very different, and DONOT overheat in any way. This started happening last week. I have run xp repair...
I have SMS running on a NT 4.0 BDC. The DNS and DHCP server that are used for my campus are at a higher level that i cannot access directly from my subnet. Would SMS need to access the DNS and DHCP server in order to install the clients properly? About 15 of 200 machines were detected in our...
When you enable Windows NT logon, and Logon Discovery it is supposed to create the SMSlogon share automatically. If it never creates one, and you need one for that subnet, then you can just copy a SMSlogon folder from another DC, then go through all the setting and change the DC names.
Ok, I have done massive amounts of research on this, and to remove and reinstall the smslogon share you should;
1. Uncheck your windows logon discovery method, as well as your windows network installation method.
2. Verify that under you sites components NTlogon discovery, and NTlogon...
Ok I meant that the client installation method of Logon Discovery was also enabled, becuase that is what creates the smslogon folder. Can anyone help me?
Ok my question is about the smslogon folder share created on the primary sms server. I have remote install enabled for the client installation method, and it "should" be creating a smslogon folder to share out. Well this is not the case. However a client bdc had the smslogon folder...
