Glen, thank you so much for your reply. I just got past the problem (not to say I won't get snagged on another)! Remember the vendor was saying that it was a permissions error? W2K Server Service cannot be created
I am installing some software on a new W2K/SQL2K server. SP2 for each app is what the software vendor requires. Part of the install is to create a "service", but during the installation I get an error 1057 - service cannot be created. My only choice is "OK". The next...- Tinerz
