Just wondering how i can get the avaya soft console to work from a remote location using a public IP address rather than via a VPN. Our support team has recommended using the IP SEC tunneling that comes with the avaya, though voice is not support on it by avaya.

In my previous experiences with IP phones running on a PSTN system i've had all sorts of call quality issues (mostly echo'ing), my boss has asked me to confirm that 9608 handsets will work with analog trunks correctly.
Can anyone foresee any issues we might have in doing this?
Wasn't my intention! they've had the system for a few weeks and just cannot adapt to not having a key system and requested button modules.

I've just installed a few BM24's on 9641G handsets and found that although they are 100% usable, Line appears keys function correctly - User keys are not.
The key is usuable (it will ring the extention) though it won't display when a user is on the phone.
