arcserve server drops network connection when backing up exchange
Turn off your disk cache on your Exchange server and I'll bet the problem will go away. Your Exchange server will suffer, but at least it will get backed up. Problem has been there since at least AS9. Don't know why it does this or why CA can't seem to get it fixed. -Tom- td1138

Windows2000 Compatability/Issues
I'm in the process of doing exactly what you described. I have already moved one Exchange 5.5 installation from NT4 to W2K, converting it from a BDC to a member server in the process. For the most part, it's pretty straight forward: Install Windows 2000 clean, then install Exchange 5.5 on it...- td1138
