Hey just try to first re install your cd dos drivers ie: mscdexe & ATAPI.sys via an install disk, then follow the prompts for the default install directories; reboot. If youre only prob is the cd, dvd, u should still be able to boot into win as usual and your devices should start to communicate...

Hey there, isn't COM3 logically cascaded to COM1 which both inturn are connected to Physical serial port A (port 1) ? So, if I do recall this to be so, then removing / disabling Physical serial port A (port 1) you'll lose not only COM1 but, you'll lose COM3 too. =SOF=
