If you are looking for something with more features than MySQL, then PostGreSQL also runs on Netware.

I've played with pegasus on netware and you should make sure for that user object, they have a home directory defined in NDS. I beleive that is where the pegasus client stores downloaded email and etc...

Are you using a UPS on these systems? Dirty power can also cause these symptoms. If these systems are on UPS, you might want to verify that the UPS is outputting clean stable power.

NDPS is nice since the server can speak to the printer using IP, even in a client/server IPX network. You might also consider partitioning your network into VLANs and make sure your switches can do IPX routing/VLANs.
