Are you excluding the following directory from...
Version 6.0 of the Exchange option probably should not be used with version 7.0 of IncoulateIT. Also version 6 of the Exchange option is not compatible with Exchange 2003.
Mirtheil - there are no error messages when we begin to have the connection issues. License levels are fine however I have found that Pervasive has issued 2 hot fixes, one for the srde and one for the mkde engines. Some of the issues corrected are:
SRDE Hotfix
44168 SRDE stops responding...
Upgraded from 2000i to v8 sp1 about a week ago and have been having the following problem:
Pervasive randomly won't accept new connections from clients attempting to make an odbc connection from our custom applications. At the same time our erp applications that use pervasive will freeze up...
Is it possible that the download of 9.0 is corrupt? I ran into this not long ago on another piece of software. I ended up downloading from home and it worked fine.
Review the tape(s) in question and verify what BE 9 sees as its overwrite and append period. If those periods are causing the issue then you can move those tapes to a different media set that contains the overwrite and append periods you want.

I have installed version 9 into a test environment and have come up with the following issue:
When booting I get Event ID 7009 which states: "Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the Backup Exec Server Service to connect" This prevents a few other BE services from starting. Once...
On Page 259 of the BE manual it shows as a backup selection Micorosft SQL Server "BKUPEXEC". That selection does not show as a backup selection on my system. I have been able to perform database maintenance and use BE with no issues. I am using the MSDE database that came with BE 9.0.
You should be backing up the information store and the SRS if you are in a mixed mode environment. If you also want to backup the mailboxes (not recommended by MS) you will need to follow Backup Execs instructions on setting it up - you can't just select mailboxes without a good deal of preparation.
