When I make an entry in Task, there is a Status field with a drop down menu that lists, No Status, In progress, Completed, etc. , I want to create my own custom Status designators i.e. "Customer contacted" or "Shipped". How can I do this?

I don't see a "From Field" when I click on view. I think it might be because Microsoft Word opens up when I click on "New". How do I change it so Word does not open when I click on New.
