Definitely something to consider. I bookmarked those links. I can't justify rebuilding Windows and Ubuntu again and reinstalling software, drivers, etc. again when this could have been backed up!

I have a dual-boot environment (XP/Ubuntu 8). I recently removed my ntfs partition only to add it back later. Furthermore, I added more swap space and allotted more space to my linux partition.
/dev/sda1 - ntfs
/dev/sda2 - linux swap
/dev/sda3 - ext3

Its default resolution is 1680 x 1050. The video card is a ATI Mobility Radeon X600
Its becoming more and more of a hassle to work at this resolution and I prefer to work at 1280 x 800.
