ok so i unplugged all my HD's exept for the Sata
the first 2 times i tried to bot it with a boot disk there were errors
file missing or corrupt
<windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl
2nd time
file missing or corrupt
\windows\inf\bios info.inf
but on the 3d time it started up with a floppy
ok this is what i did
i did not insert the boot floppy untill it came to the choise window. i popped in the floppy and cliked in the OS which was on the SATA. same thing happens black screens, white loading bars sam as without the disk
i think i should try unplugging my 40 gig and let it use...
ok i tried it again
and again (this time without an error message) it booted my other OS without bringing up the choise
wait ill try again this time sticking the floppy when the thing starts booting
i found this program on the net that might help me if i have a bad sector but i dont know about it
will it really help the damaged sectors?

well i have 2 operating systems one on my old 40 gig
and another on my 150 gig (the one that acts strange in term of booting.
when i coppied thouse files to a boot disk then booted windows from it this is what happened

loading windows

well i installed a SATA 150 gig harddrive, i also installed Win XP PRO on it the drivers on it and everything.
but for some reason it only starts up windows ONLY if it can boot from an xp disk
if the disk is not in the drive, or the bios are not set on "first boot devise cdrom" 3 things might...
