I guess my question was misleading. We have a list of actual telephone numbers (public CO) that we would like to look up for the names and addresses.

When we moved into our new office building, we lost caller ID somehow. When a call comes in on a DID, the phone number from the calling party is displayed, but the name attached to the number is not. What configuration do I need to look at to find out why we're not getting caller ID any longer?

Ok...I added the DID as a virtual using X in place of the port..... I then added a brdg-appr to the phone that needs the DID. It works, But When the appearance rings in on the button, it rings silently. Is there a way to change this?>

What port do I assign for a virtual? Is it the same command? Add Station?

If I setup extension 1234, and this extension does not even have a phone connected to it and I want all calls that ring extension 1234 to automatically go to extension 5678, What command would I use to set this up?

DID comes in on your ISDN usually. When the call comes in it passes across dtmf digits that usually consist of four digits. Example if you have the 123-555-5600 range of DID's on your ISDN line, then when 123-555-5610 rings in, it's going to pass over 5610 to your pbx via DTMF. If you have ext...

I have a user who is extension 1108. She wants a DID, but all of our DID's are in the 6700 to 6800 range. She wants to keep her same extension though. We are using 6408D+. Can anyone give me some direction? I have been strictly NEC NEAX2400 for almost three years and going back to avaya is tough.
