ORA-1034 Oracle not available
Double check your environment variable $ORACLE_HOME to make sure it is set correctly. Also check your alert.log. It sounds as though the DB had problems coming up. You might need to do a recovery!- sgivens

Designer 2000 Rel 2.1
We used Designer/2000 1.3.2 quite a bit. The 2.1 look and feel is quite different and I think we'll need to get training on the new version. I am a DBA and we just used it to generate DDL and maintain a data model. We have not been generating Forms apps., etc.- sgivens

Getting email from AIX to Microsoft Exchange
I'd like to be able to forward email sent to an AIX account to MicroSoft Exchange. Is there software that needs to be purchased/implemented? Do I use a .forward file or aliases file? If so, what would I put in it?<br> <br> Thanks,<br> <br> Steve
