We are currently using What's Up Professional and we monitor the systems by ping currently. We are looking at monitoring the hard drives, processors and memory for the 60+ servers in our data center. Does anyone know what kinda hit on the network will occur adding SNMP for monitoring? Thanks

I am in the process of implementing an Exchange server to our organization. One of the items that we are also looking at is OWA. What should I look at for a proper setup? Where do I start? Ect... We have a Firewall in place and a seperate server for Exchange, but from there not sure what to...

You can even add the "domain Users" group on the domain to the users group Administrators on the local machine. Easiest way is to manage the system (if its 2000 workstation or XP Pro) and make it a member of the group and don't have to goto the system

That is correct. When I run a ipconfig /all, it will list my network DNS servers with the dialup network adapter.

The 1st thing you need to complete is the Service Pack updates. This might resolve the issue, but you know that you are patched so incase you have to call Microsoft or a vendor, that is completed. Is there any events in the log files on the server? on the workstations?

From the LAN connection, this works perfect. On the VPN connection, it comes back with the right IP numbers, but then has this. *** DC01.royal.local can't find im01: Non-existent domain As for the port, I am unsure. I will check on that

I ran a ipconfig/all and it shows the dialup using the Proper DNS server on the LAN I am able to ping servers and workstations on the dialup.

ALSO within the GPO you can have it disable remember passwords. (If I remember right)

Have a Pix w/ VPN concentrator setup on Network. We can connect to VPN and attach to the Network, but that is where the issue starts. I can use IP numbers to connect via Radmin or Terminal server and connect to the different servers, but I can't use the server name like I can when connected...

OK... what happens is that the media won't load (accourding to the software). You can hear the drive clicking as it is thrying to load it. Even if you cancel the job, you are unable to eject the tape. The only way I can get the tape out is to Shut off the server, let the drive reset it self and...
