We have an IP 412 running v3.2 (53). I want to connect an IP phone (5602SW+ IP) from a remote office through a Watchguard x10e there and a Watchguard x750e here (via the VPN tunnel).
So, rather than risk going all the way down there and not being able to set it up, I decided to experiment. I...
I finally decided to make use of ePO4 in order to manage DAT file updates on our PCs. As this was a new install I was able to put a fresh copy of v4 (patch 2) on a Windows Server 2003 R2.
I then tested a roll-out to small group of XP SP2 machines. All went well, updates were happening normally...
One of my users did a simple copy and paste of a dozen Excel 2003 cells into the body of an e-mail message. The recipient got the typed text, but no image.
Both machines are using Outlook 2003 SP3 with Windows XP Pro SP2. I've tried a number of fixes that I've found on-line, but these all seem...
I've recently installed a couple of new machines that came with Office 2007.
One user has come up with a rather odd problem in Excel. She is used to switching between open documents by using the keyboard (Alt+Tab) method, but with a particular worksheet she has found that the screen image...
Of course, once things had slowed down and I was able to think about it, the answer was obvious; swap the IP addresses of the two Gateways!
I'm going to carry out this procedure this evening and I see no reason why it shouldn't work the way I want.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
Oops! Should have mentioned; we use static IP addressing for 95% of our machines (I've already handled the DHCP ones).
Any ideas how to change the default gateway on machines with static IP addresses?
Thanks
I'm running a mixture of W2K / XP machines on an Active Directory governed by Windows Server 2003 (all machines fully patched up). All group policies are dictated by AD and work satisfactorily.
However, I've recently introduced a new Gateway (which has a different IP address). Rather than visit...
OK. I know that I am supposed to install the Active Directory Services Client for WIndows 98 (called dsclient.exe) in order to connect into the new Server 2003 domain.
I also know that this is available on the Windows 2000 Server CD.
Unfortunately, I don't have a W2K CD and try as I might, I...
I've just set up a user with a brand new machine running Windows XP Pro and Office XP SBE. Everything was running smoothly at first, but after a few hours, when she opens IE6 to web browse it is incredibly slow.
I checked Task Manager and it showed that IE was using almost all of the CPU...
I have since discovered (to my amazement) that Microsoft "doesn't recognize moving from one edition of
the same Office version to another edition to
be an upgrade". Further, from Dell I got the response "there is no upgrade path from Office XP Small Business to Office XP...
I decided to upgrade a Dell Optiple GX150 (Windows 2000) machine that had been purchased with Office XP Small Business. So, having purchased the Office XP Professional upgrade I am now having problems installing it. I keep being told that "no qualifying product can be found" and it is...
When sending e-mail attachments from Office XP machines, the recipient in Australia using Eudora on gets winmail.dat files. Any ideas as to how I can stop this happening?
When an Outlook XP user sends an e-mail message with a background to an Outlook 2000 user across our Exchange v5.5 Server, the background arrives as an attachment.
