what would happen if two separate processes tried to pop mail from the same account at the same time? would one get locked out or would there be errors or potential corruption?

DezUk -- the tunnel isn't created until certain traffic it switched through the tunnel -- browsing isn't going to generate the type of traffic needed to bring up the tunnel.
billOr -- yes, you need to creat a policy for each user. If you want a more flexible solution, you will need to find a...
the doc has the same title and describes how to set up the IPSec policies needed to connect to the fvs318... It's important to understand the last page and substitute your settings accordingly. I can't remember if I used it on xp or w2k but I think it was the latter.
As to the w2k/xp native...
nice to hear about the safenet client... although I think most of my applications will be business oriented so I'll probably just buy the netscreen client.
I agree that netgear makes it sound like w2k and xp can quickly connect to the fvs318 natively -- and to that point, I was able to do this...
I've given it a quick try using a 3.6.3 and v1.3 setup but didn't get much of anything. One would assume that it could be done but I can't burn any more time on this... I'd love to hear about any info, configs that people get on this though.
Side note, is the VPN v4 a free download? I have...

The question is on the...
the ping parody was quite funny!
Thanks for the rundown of the boot basics but it seems to be missing an important part -- or rather, I'm quite confused over boot system.
The 'boot system' variable is used to specify the system image that the router loads at startup. Boot system is linked to...
