Well I did everything including a restore only to correct the problem by moving to another port on my router. Can routers get virii. Thanks for the recomendation- phxmark

False cable not plugged in error
I have XP pro on a dsl service using a router but not networked with other computer. It was working fine and then on day I start getting a not connected, cable unplugged error.
