Thanks.
I pretty much got to that last week, just haven't had the opportunity to reply back.
I need to do some more work as I want to add the farm information to all of the users pn.ini files so that it will appear automatically for them rather than having to add it manually to each one.
You are correct on the config.
All network client are Win XP PC's built using RIS and Altiris to ensure all are identical on the main 10.51 subnet. They are then relocated to the 10.63 subnet and obtain new IP addresses via DHCP.
So all machines are identical. The ones on the main 10.51 site...
On our main subnet (where the Citrix servers are) client just launch PN and it automatically finds our farm and displays the applications.
I presumed that by setting the server ip address or name in the connections tab in the settigns icon it would do the same accross the router.
I didn't...
We have 6 Citrix servers running FR3/SP3 on our main network (10.51.x.x).
We have a remote site on a leased line link which now need to access our Citrix servers (10.63.215.x).
I am unable to get the PN client to connect to the Citrix servers from the remote site and get any applications.
I...
I have read in a couple of Microsoft documents that a ASR backup can be used with RIS, unfortunately I can't find any detail on how to do this.
This would allow a quick re-build of servers.
Thanks for the prompt response, i'll give it a go.
Do you happen to know where 'Check grammar as you type' and 'check grammar with spelling' are ?
Thanks
We want to switch off 'Check spelling as you type' in Word 97 and XP automatically. We can't find the variable either in the registry or a users profile.
Once we know the value we can either set up a policy or use a logon script to set it.
Anyone know what/where it is ?
Thanks
I've had a quick look at that, it will show who has printed what document but I can get that infor from the event viewer (not so easy though).
What I really want is to be able to view the documents rather than just see the file name.
We are looking for some software to install on our Windows 2000 print servers that will capture a copy of all print jobs so that they can be reviewed.
As a security measure and also for good housekeeping practices we would like to monitor what is being printed. We can they point users towards...
I am particularly keen to be able to set up both a searchable centralised event viewer plus alerting.
I work in a fairly high security company, if a user account becomes locked we need to know about it and also why it became locked, at the moment I have to trawl through the event logs on each...
