Hi Good point; but I must point out this computer started life as a DX4-100 with Dos and Win3.11, I just can't help adding bits, anyway the drive recognition problem seems to be inside Windows as Dos and Dos based programs have no problem recognising the disk partitions and their letters. PAUL

Hi This all good stuff, thanks to James Collins. I use a freeware or rather postcardware program called Cacheman to configure disk caching i.e. the settings under vcache. It can be found at http://www.outertech.com/index2.html It works for me. PAUL

Hi You must leave a small sector of unformatted space (8Mb approx) before your first partition on the second drive and make the partitions logical and not active.
