    Win XP puts USB-SER in other devices?

    Hi I purchased a usb to serial adapter cable. Windows XP sp2 does not detect it, so I loaded the driver from the web site ..windows still does not detect it and puts it in the other devices in device manager. I was told this usb-ser should appear under ports? what can I do to fix this?

    Catalog backup failure

    Hello I have been recieving an error code 11 when doing a backup of the catalog.Error message system failure call, thei all started when i removed some old tapes from the library, but the catalog tape is still in there.Any reason for this error? this is for Netbackup 5.0 MP3 on a WIN 2000 server.

    Yes sorry you are right it is not 9.1 but 5.0 MP3. I was able to set up paging in netbackup 5.0 MP3 but it sends me notifications on all jobs not just the failed jobs. I used NBmail and blat to set it up. So I would still like to know if it is possible to recieve notification only for failed...

    Hello, Can someone explain to me how I could bring my DLT library back online? I recently changed it from one that was broken and I re-started the services but in the device window it still shows my old DLT and the new is offline. The option to enable it is grayed out. This is for veritas 9.1.

    Unable to catalog tapes

    Hi has anyone experienced this problem, that when I am trying to catalog my tapes I am only able to get about 1 gig out of a possible 35 gigs per tape...and it returns me an error "The data being read from the media is inconsistent" is there away to retrieve this data?
