I know this could be done with 5.5 but I am am not sure how to do it with 2000. What i would like to do is have the email address automatically be assigned in a certain format. first letter of the first name and then the last name (Bob Jones would be bjones@domain.com). How can i do this with 2000?

I have another GC. What I did was re add the computer to the domain and restarted. That worked.

I just demoted a DC that was also a GC (I do have another one)and now when people open up outlook it is asking for there username, password and domain. When i put in the correct info it says that they are incorrect. Anyone have any ideas what I should do?

I dont think its a virus because he was replying to the message, so he knew the person and was already corresponding with them. I think at this point its our webshield or our ISP.
