In internet explorer, you have the option to go to File | Import/Export and you can export your cookies into a single file. Is there a way to run this action via a script?
Has anyone ever done this before? I want to do it so I install a secondary site and still use the DP package files so I don't have to replicate packages again.
Thank you tbrennans. After doing some investigating and speaking with my DBA, we do have things set correctly. The backup is set to simple. Also, my DBA isn’t even running a backup because of the built in SMS backup task. The SMS backup runs between 10:30pm and 11:30pm. The collection...
The tempdb seems to be filling up on some of my SMS servers some of the time. It seems pretty sporadic. I can see in the logs that the collection evaluator is modifying the members of the collections. Then it gets to a point where it starts failing because the tempdb fills up. My SQL admin...
Anyone know if someone has released any client actions tools for SCCM? They were very handy with SMS 2003. I am not finding many scripts out there for reassigning a client, triggering inventory, etc.
I have resolved this issue. Basically I was running the USMT twice. Two scans and two loads. I was having native OSD run both and also the ZTI scripts. You need to make sure you remove the native OSD USMT tasks and just use the ZTI scripts. So specify your USMT commands in...
I am running SMS 2003 SP3. I can connect and enumerate nodes in console for only so long. Then my WMI connection is dropped (If you look at my original post). I can connect to that WMI namespace using WBEMTEST in Vista with no problem. I do not have this problem with XP.
I have already been through that doc. I will open a ticket with MS when I get a chance. The console seems to work for 5 minutes or so then it drops my WMI connection after a period of inactivity.
I am running Microsoft Vista Enterprise with the SMS 2003 SP3 console. I can connect to a SMS site fine and even drill down into collections and package briefly. Suddenly my WMI connection is lost and I can longer drill into anything else. I looked at my adminui.log and see:
[9A0][Fri...
The only way to do this would be to extend the SMS Hardware inventory by modifying the sms_def.mof. I haven't done it with things like printers or network drives but have done it with other information successfully.
I am using SMS 2003 OSD to deploy Vista. When performing a refresh scenario, the data gets backed up no problem. However, the restore phase ends with error 31. I know the .mig file is good because I can restore the data by running the loadstate.exe manually or even by double clicking the .mig...
When creating a new program, you can limit which client platforms the program can run on. Since SP2 has been released, Server 2003 SP2 and Vista have also been released. Is there a patch out there where I can add these OS levels? I know I can install SP3 but am not planning on doing there...
