Hi I am not sure where u plan to use the PL/SQL other then Forms & Reports since it is a proprietry language used only by Oracle developer products. U can learn a lot from Oracle manuals and STS for preperation for the test.

STS questions r usually updated when Oracle updates or make a major modification to the test formats. Otherwise they stay the same for most part of it.

The book is only so so (OCP Building Internet Application I & II by Christoher Allen ). If u have the Couchman book u will see that this book is just a cut & paste job from that as i believe that Allen is also a co-author of that book. Dont waste ur money if u have couchmnan's book.

hi Program Units is more focused and conceptual. It covers fewer topics then sql/pl/sql but expects more in depth knowledge of the matter

You can take either 007 or 001 for certification purpose for 9i. The only difference is that 007 is an online test, while 001 is a proctored one. Good Luck

Oracle has retired the Oracle 8 DBA certification track effective march 31, 2002. Now u can only certify fro 8i & 9i. How ever if u r certified for Oracle 8 u can upgrade it to 8i by take 1z0-020 and then if desired to 9i by taking 1z0-030. U might be able to use 1z0-001 if u have taken that...
