Hi
I have a Fedora 6 box with Sendmail running.
I also have a program called Request Tracker which is a helpdesk ticketing system.
I had a problem sending to RT system on the fedora box from our own exchange system (or any other email client). I could however send it from the fedora box to...
Hi
Regarding "send as" and "send on behalf of" using SBS 2003 (Outlook/Exchange 2003), I also have a problem which I hope someone can assist with ..
I cannot get the "send on behalf of" to work at all, it is always overridden by the "send as" option.
I have been into the security tab and...
Ok - So one of the customers I work for got hit by the Rogue Virus defs (that detected a windows file as a virus) that CA put out for EZTrust last Friday and like a lot of people, the Windos 2003 server would not then boot in normal mode. Unfortunately I did not know the cause and have spent the...
I have come across a really strange problem whilst helping out a friend who has bought the WKPC54g Networking kit.
The scenario is that there is a laptop (XP) with the Linksys PCMCIA network card and a PC running UBUNTU (linux) which is wired to the router
All seems OK and the wireless...
I have a 2003 server and have ftp server running. There are 2 NICs and RRAS is configured with the NAT firewall. There is also a router with a firewall for internet access which the external NIC is connected to.
I can FTP to the external IP from "inside" the network and successfully login with...
I have a 2003 server with 2 nics and remote access and routing has been configured which obviously uses the it's own firewall as the XP firewall is not accessible thro control panel.
The server goes out to the internet thro a router which also has firewall built in.
The problem is that I...
Thanks SkreeM for your comments
I looked at the documents and KB articles provided by Microsoft and also reports from other people who had similar problems.
Despite not being able to run the "in place SBS reinstallation" from the DVD Media, I found that the winnt32.exe file did actually allow...
Ok the scenario is thst I have upgraded a Eval version of SBS 2003 to the full retail version.
It refused to install the SP1 as it said that it was running an evaluation version of SBS.
I checked the product key abd that is OK
HAve reinstalled all the SPs and it fails again at the...
Thanks for that
Forgot to mention that the 2 networks are physically on 2 separate switches as well. The only common interface is thro a 10Mb Switch which the secondary NICs on each server connect thro to the internet.
I presume that the 2 primary network switches will need to be linked up as...
Hi
I have a setup where there are 2 win2003 separate domains (although they do share a common ADSL internet connetion which is thro a 2nd NIC in each DC and thro' a SWITCH to the ADSL line)
This has worked fine, but now I need to install another data server which can be accessed by the 2...
Ok thanks for you reply
I have now managed to get the whole thing working.
All the PC's on both domains can now get to the internet.
It was just down to getting the NAT/Routing correctly configured
I have 2 x win2003 servers with 2 netcards in each (separate Doamins)
The Lan side of things just works fine
The internet side is connected to an adsl modem/router thro a switch(as there are two separate servers involved)
The Servers can get to the internet Ok but the Pc's on the domain...
I am having trouble with the Information Store and sync issues on the existing Exchange 5.5 server. I have therefore decided to completely rebuild the Exchange server on a new box, recreate the Mailboxes manually and probably push the existing mailboxes back in from users .pst files. That way I...
