Incompatible medium, block size errors, SJI failure[0x 29]: I/O e

I've seen the SJI Failure [0x 29] on Windows 2000, with NW 6.0.2 and NW 6.1.1. Librarys begin ATL P2000 and P3000 SAN-attached to Compaq hardware. I'm afraid I'm in the dark as to the reasons why too... Anyone managed to get rid of them?? // Matts

    system32 doesn't get backed up

Networker unable to find W2K cluster node disk

Have you installed the cluster licenses? The client is cluster aware, and although this is speculation, I would guess that it ignores the cluster volumes if you don't have the licenses. Also, with cluster licenses, you should back up the volumes via the cluster alias. Good luck! // Matts

    system32 doesn't get backed up

I have a strong feeling that you are right about us not being the only ones... Out of curiousity, what hardware platform are all of you running? We've seen it on several Compaq server. I believe that Legato, unfortunately, thinks it's related to that platform, so any additional information...

Problems with New Linux Host backup

Hi! I'm not sure here, but if memory serves me right you need different clintpaks for UNIX and Linux. If it's any consolation, the Linux pak is much cheaper than the UNIX one... ;) // Matts

how to check the saveset size?

Minor note, not relating to the actual question, but still... The query for mminfo should read "savetime>=28-days-ago", since the app calculates the date for "28-days-ago" and then compares the result to savetime. If you want to check for saves during the last four weeks...

    Read Open Error - HELP!!

This may come a little late, but... Historically Compaq servers never really worked well with SCSI cards from other vendors, especially Adaptec. Now the funny part: Compaq OEM's an Adaptec card for their Ultra3 64-bit 66MHz card, although modified with a Compaq firmware and Compaq drivers. So...

Sharing a jukebox between a Networker server and Storage Node

I'd like to make a small note on whether it's possible or not to backup data to a storage node using a Novell client older than 4.20. It is possible, but not recommended, since the data is sent to the storage node via the backup server... Don't know if this is fixed in the 4.20 client, but I...

How can i start a batchfile in dependence....

Look up the 'savepnpc' command in the Admin Guide. It lets you perform a pre-backup command as well as a post-backup command. The post command will always run, so you'll have to find a way to determine the success of the backup in your script (e.g. mminfo). The options though are too many to go...
