    Cisco 2503 - does not accept IP

    It loks like the ip address should work. Cisco is using IOS version 12.3 and it never hurts to upgrade unless your equipment/components doesn't support the new IOS. Try the command "sh run" and see if you have an ip address for the ethernet card already in use. Or try another ip address.

    I have tried on two seperate computers. A laptop with a single nic and a desktop with dual nics. Both masks were changed at the same time. I am using a crossover cable when directly connected to the router.
