full unlimited memory access in plain c

Sorry, with "Easily" I mean, the OS protects the system limiting the address space so a process cant write other processes memory by mistake, but the simple existence of some software that can write this memory not by mistake, but willingly (sorry for my english) means that it must be an easy...

full unlimited memory access in plain c

Hi again, I found some information about mapping the physical memory to an object that you can interact with using some undocumented call to the NT kernel. Very interesting and at least it does not require special knowledge or low level stuff, but I really would like to simply access all...

full unlimited memory access in plain c

Hi, I spent a whole day trying to understand how programs like debuggers can "simply" scan all the physical memory of the system without limitations. I could find only some api functions to specifically address a single process and deal with it, but nothing about how to address physical memory...

access is very slow in "navigating" linked ODBC table

I made other tests, I even tried to uninstall completely access and install access 2003, without success. One thing I did after reinstalling windows was to update the MB bios version to a newer one, but I cannot believe it can make any difference to the behaviour of MS Access. Thanks Kingraoul

access is very slow in "navigating" linked ODBC table

Just one more information to add. The records of the table are over 100000 and not 10000 and the internal tables of access works like usual. Thank you again

access is very slow in "navigating" linked ODBC table

Hi, I have a strange problem with Microsoft Access 2000. I have a database with some tables linked via ODBC to a MySQL server (same machine). All is nice, the tables are opened and I can filter and order 10000 records in no time, but navigating the table, going to the last record, or going to a...

filling and retrieving text from a field in internet explorer

Sorry I did not thank you sooner. I was away and could not reply. Thank you very much, I found something about opening IE as a COM object and parsing the document in it, but I didn't ever try something like that. Guess I will have to learn something new! As always :(. Bye.

filling and retrieving text from a field in internet explorer

Hi, I would like to know how some programs are able to fill automatically the fields in html forms. I tried to get the text of the controls with a WM_GETTEXT message, but could not find a way to get the window handle of the various controls inside the explorer window. I searched the net, but...

    form index (form number)

Hi, it seems strange, but i cannot recall (and cannot find in the docs) how to retrieve the index(number) of a form to later addressing a form with his ID/Index/number or whatever name you want to use. It's late tonight here and i can only think i'm veeeery sleepy. :) Thank you very much.

problem with mysql auto increment column and MS Access

I upgraded both MyODBC to latest build (.06) e mysql to 4.0.12 and i still get the #deleted behaviour. I hoped that both upgrades could help, but nothing. Now i'll try to use an old version of MyODBC, the one pointed by QatQat, but i still cannot believe to be haunted by this thing. Maybe the...

    mysql_fix_privileges_table

Hello everyone, can someone tell me where to get the latest version of this script (the one in mysql 4.0.12) modified for working under windows? Or maybe a translator to change unix shell syntax to windows-like batch commands? Thank you very much

problem with mysql auto increment column and MS Access

I found something interesting in the microsoft knowledge base and in the MySQL manual. They both advice to update the jet components of office. I got the update but nothing helpful happened. This should have fixed a problem of #deleted record if a uniqueidentifier was part of the record. Well, i...

problem with mysql auto increment column and MS Access

Thank you for your answer, but i tried myodbc 3.51 and 2.50 and i had the same problem, so i was nearly sure that the ODBC driver wasn't the cause. (blame on Microsoft as always, i thought). I think i'll wait for another MyODBC version, or maybe i'll tune my app so it requeries every time a new...

problem with mysql auto increment column and MS Access

Thank you for your answer. Yes, i use the last production version for Win. I know that the record is being inserted, but i built an application in MS Access that relies on the primary key being known while editing the record (or at least after having saved it). If the record disappears i must...

problem with mysql auto increment column and MS Access

Hi, first of all, i'm new to the forum and maybe this question has been answered, i did some searching but find nothing useful. Well, the problem is that i use mysql with MS Access and when i save a record that has an auto increment column (in this case is the primary key) MS access marks the...
