I have XP, Win98, and WinME working great on a network. I assigned the XP machine ip address 192.168.0.1 the ME wirh 0.2 and the 98 with 0.3. I also made the gateway for every machine 192.168.0.1. Try that.

Have you tried setting static ip addresses for all your adapters. I set my XP to 192.168.0.1, the ME machine to 192.168.0.2 and my 98 machine to 192.168.0.3 and made the default gateway 192.168.0.1.

Questions. Do you have the folders or c drive shared? In the properties of your network device under advanced do you have the box checked to let others on the network access your computer. Also you might activate the guest account. Make sure the folers are not read only.
