I am looking for tools that assist with EDI workflow. For instance, those that allow you to create a process to receive a file via FTP (or network location), manipulate, e-mail, rename, the file etc., as well as the ability to run command line programs anywhere in the process (for instance, PGP...
Windows. I found a pretty easy way to wrap the files using UltraEdit. It takes two steps (it wraps, but inserts a space, so I then have to replace the segment terminator + space with only the terminator).
I'm having problems unwrapping in UltraEdit though. I want to be able to specify the...
It doesn't look like this forum gets a lot of activity. If you discover an answer to this, I would love to hear it. We've experienced the same problem here. Thank you! (And sorry that I don't have an answer for you:)
A trading partner wants to exchange files via PGP and asked if we supported "Strong key 4096 DSS". I am not familiar with this. We use PGP Command line version 8.5. I found an area where you can specify bits. I'm guessing that's the 4096 part of it, but I'm not clear on the DSS, or even what...
I'm using command line pgp and receive this message when decrypting a file from an external trading partner. Since I am not sending anything to them, I have not loaded their public key, and shouldn't need to. I decrypt other external files just fine. Is there something that they need to do on...
I'm not sure how tight your budget is, but if you're looking at Mercator, Gentran, etc., you can also look at Sybase's EDI Toolkit (ECMap - drag & drop mapping tool, and ECGateway).
The X098 determines the type of 837 (Professional). The A1 indicates the addenda version. The 997 for all three versions of the 837 is 004010. There is no addenda for the 997 transaction at this time. Therefore, you are correct in sending a 997, version 004010 for the 837 version 004010X098A1.
No, I have not yet figured this one out. However, I was using the beta version of Command Line PGP and have not yet purchased the actual software. I'm hoping there'll be additional documentation with the actual purchased software. (?)
Update: I have another Trading Partner where I simply connect to their system and retrieve all waiting files (again, an unknown number of files), without having to send a header file first. This one seems to work fine. I'm wondering if maybe the send of the original header file in the problem...
Hello,
I have a trading partner where I must connect to their system, send a header file, then wait for my files to be returned (there may be 3 or 4 different files). I did this manually and recorded the script, but pfsAsync stops after receiving the first file. Does anyone know why it won't...
In ECGateway, there is a GetFile and SendFile command. Here's what I'm trying to do:
Use GetFile with a Comm Channel & script to retrieve a file. Then, check to make sure I got the file and run another script that will delete the file. (This is to a Trading Partners FTP site). The only...
