As it turns out, DISA (Dial in number, password, extension, viola) is exactly what I wanted, but I'll admit, this installer guide is so not-for-non-installers.
Right now, I'm just trying to play around in the System -> System Programming -> Remote Access -> Remote Packages thing just to see if...
I see. I guess they never installed one here. Which means I can't use any kind of auto-attendant. Dang it.
But I was going through the manual and what about assigning a number to this CoS (Class of Service) Feature? It sort of sounds like what I want. Dial the number, enter a password, and then...
Alright, so voicemail is where I need to look. I'll start working on that when everyone leaves in about 2 hours.
Oh, I just put in F985 and it stated: "Feature Inactive." So I'm guessing I gotta go program some more :P.
So, do I give the voicemail auto-attendant new extensions? Or do I assign...
Software: Nortel Norstar [Maintenance -> System -> SP: 30NdG04], which I think is at least 4.1 as I was able to set up routing/destination to forward my telephone to my cell phone (my last post).
I'm going through the manual right now, and I was wondering if there was a way to set up a way to...
Brilliant. Thank you. That worked perfectly.
The only caveat I can see from this method is that if someone was to dial out and then try to transfer that call to me, it would be denied. But I'm guessing in all other instances, this will work as if I'm right there in the office. Great :).
Okay, I programmed the system to allow my extension to ALLOW REDIRECT. Which means I can effectively use F84 from my extension, but doing that, nor using F4 allows me to redirect to my cell phone.
Well, F84 lets me redirect a line to my cell phone, but I don't believe that's what I'm trying to...
Yes yes, I can do that. I get a call in, hit transfer and then press 9 and then hit the autodial button I set up and it works.
Which is great, but I can't set that up on the 50+ phones here each one manually.
So I was wondering there was a way to either forward my individual telephone (ext...
If that's the case, then I must have 4.1 or higher. Because I can hit the transfer button and transfer incoming calls to whomever I'd like, internal or external. Or did you specifically mean forwarding?
I'm trying to get one thing accomplished. I just need someway for all the employees to be able to call me/transfer calls to my cell phone very easily. I've considered programming an external autodial button for every phone in the building that just simply calls me; though that is a fair amount...
