Is there a way to stipulate a stationary default for Outlook through Domain Policy or the Exchange system? I've been looking and not finding anything on this. Has anyone here had to do such for their company?
You need to create a default global address list if one is not listed. You'll need to define the parameters for the GAL, which is pretty easy with the GUI. Once you do this, make sure the Offline Default Address List is configured to pull it's list from the one you just created. That way all...
Hello,
The company I work for has a parent company, and my boss wants to have the parent company's GAL listed on our Exchange server. How is this done? I am unsure really what to search for @ MS or here. Has aynoe done this before? How do you do it?
Hello.
I have Exchange 2003. I have users in my sales group that all access what we call "mail-in databases". These mail-in databases are users in the system that have mailboxes, such as sales or support.
We add these mailboxes to the sales ACL and then add them to the individual outlook...
Mark,
Thanks for the reply and help. You are correct about Cached mode. I have forced the OAB rebuild and we'll see what comes of it. Thanks again for your help.
Hello,
I am running Exchange 2003 SP1 on Windows 2003 SP1. My problem is this: when I add a new user to the exchange system, they don't show up in the GAL, period. I have users I created 2 weeks ago that don't show up. I'm clueless, especially since my other 100+ users/groups show up just...

Hello,
I'm running Windows 2003 Enterprise Exchange. I have a sales database called sales@mydomain.com; this mail database gets accessed from various users in our sales department. We want to have them send mail as "sales@mydomain.com" rather than "username@mydomain.com".
I granted the...
it sounds like a DNS issue. In the MS VPN client, you need to specify the DNS suffix so that the client can resolve addresses within the soffuix range.
It is found under Networking-->Select TCP/IP -->Properties -->
Advanced -->DNS; it is found at the bottom of that tab. add your dns suffix...

Wishdiak,
I've read that document 4 times now. Anyhow, I got the problem fixed. I had to insert the SSLCACertificate clause into the host so that it knew where the root certifcates where stored. Once I did this, SSL worked correctly. Thanks for your reply.
