    you should setup SLP scope and point all the clients to the slp server IP address had the same issue with our network SLP scope solved all issues

    DHCP server does not needto be on a PDC , the only this is that is you are upgrading to Active Director you will need to authorize the server. moust router will need to enable dhcp relay agent to pass through them , in my case we have setup Bootp to pass the packets over to our seperate networks
