Hey, what if I were to convert the NTFS partition (C:) to FAT32, just so that I could delete the Windows folder? Would this affect files like MP3s and text documents? JDl

I am reinstalling WinXP over a partial install, and since I ignore whether the installation will replace every file found there I would feel better deleting the Windows directory before attempting a reinstall. Thanks in advance, JDL

I forgot to mention... it invariably freezes while testing the ram (which is missleading IMHO, for you would think the prob is the ram, but remember I have already switched it over with other chips). So the only way I have managed to go any further is by skipping the memory test (using ESC)...
