After joining XP SP2 pc's to SBS 2003 domain the Applying computer settings part takes forever. XP is pointing to local DNS and not ISP DNS. SBS GPO's are set to default Any other ideas?

Forgot to mention that pc's have Win XP SP2 installed.

Applying computer settings during bootup takes forever and i know about the client must point to local DNS server and not DNS at ISP. But what else is causing this behaviour. I have even moved the computer to a new Computer OU without any GPO applied but its still taking very long.

Ok.But how do people connect to a WiFi is the SSID is not being broadcast under available wireless network list? I have checked myself and none of the WAP's broadcast their SSID's but yet still foreign computers appear in SBS DHCP?

I have 3 OU's that needs to use different GPO's. Should i create 3 new ones and ignore the default domain GPO incl the SBS logon script and create my login scripts to map drives etc.?

Also there are WPA-PSK pre shared keys in place on WiFi devices so how does someone still get an IP address from the SBS box.

Well the Netgear router is also wireless and there is 3 WAP's connected to a network switch. Seems that i need an extra firewall device to protect the internal network especially SBS. DHCP was on the router and now on SBS

It seems that unwelcome users are getting IP addresses from our DHCP server on SBS 2003. How can i prevent this??

Sorry i meant Server Management. Do i need to re-install because setup never gave me the opportunity to run any wizards. It looks like a MS server 2003 now. I have setup SBS in lab environment and never had this problem where installing finishes without any wizards or Server Management

After installing SBS i have no found that there is no server manager or any wizards????

Obviously i can leave users in their workgroups and join them to the domain when needed or when i'm ready. As long a they can access their email and internet they will be happy. It was just a concern as far should i continue with the setup/wizards without messing up their existing internet/email...
