no unfortunely I do not have a spare HD to try out. Also I did not have any problems until I booted into XP and it could not respond(I just added a blastermaster patch) I do not have an IDE add on card what are they? a pci card to add another IDE port? Do you think this may work?- islehiker

IBM DESKSTAR NON-DETECT
Hello! Heres my prob, My system will not detect my IBM Desktar 75gig(sounds like it will not spin no loud noises). I have changed out IDE cables with my Cd drives but to no avail. I checked my IDE cable that was connected to my HD and it seems to work. I have not opened the case in a while...- islehiker
