Thanks. Yes GPOs are applying, that is what is weird? The policy to lock the user out works just fine. It doesn't log in the event log though? And then it is like AD has no record of it because the part of the policy that is supposed to unlock it then does not work. I've never used RSoP and...
I have more info on this I just noticed this morning. It appears all four app servers are sick. On 01 and 02 it logs all Success Audits and no failures. On 03 and 04 it logs all Failure Audits and no Success Audits.

We have a Windows Server 2003 server farm used for Terminal services/Citrix. On the authentication side of things/AD we are having a new issue. We audit user logins and disable accounts after three unsuccessful logon attempts. The process works fine on all four of our application servers but...
I took time and looked. We do have it turned on. If we disable it then users can do all kinds of things we don't want them to. We will live with the work around I have found, it is workable and we have no users left who need it anyway. Thanks again.
What I found was that by unchecking...
Thanks mate! I'll look into that. Although I am fairly certain without checking that I already have classic shell turned on? I'll look into it.
Cheers!

I wish I had an answer. Usually when I come up with a solution I like to come back to my topics and post it so others like yourself can benefit from the solution. However in this case, the behavior is still the same as it was when I posted this topic. Our users have simply learned to apply...
We have our Terminal server (Citrix) users locked down pretty tight. I have the policy flag for the help system in Office2k3 set to force offline help only as the default is online help and our users do not have internet access.
The problem is that something is still blocking them when they...
I have run into an issue where I cannot force a users view setting to stay for them on follow up sessions. Our users want the "List" view for all files and folders and we set it by applying to all files and folders on PC's and it works fine. But for TS users it is lost every time they open a new...
This turned out to be a phantom machine entry in the DNS server for AD. It was screwing things up left and right. Once removed all came into order on it's own.
If you ever have this issue, check your DNS first! When removing 2k3 servers from AD it is important to uncheck the box labeled...
I thought I should post that i found the issue here and resolved it in case anyone else ever has it.
It was a bug in v6.30 of the ICA client that we were using. Once updated on both Thin Client and PC a like the issue goes away.
Hope that helps someone!
Rock on!

Thanks for the reply. We were thinking the same thing and have already ruled out the client device as best we can tell. It seems to happen to all out clients including laptops, PC, and thin clients. We have plenty of NT, TSE and Citrix licenses available but have not ruled out a licensing...
We are upgrading our existing NT4.0 TSE MF1.8 farm to Windows Server 2k3 and MF XPe and all was going well until we migrated a bunch of users over last week.
Now we are getting a message on our 3125 Winterm clients when they try to launch their Citrix Desktop connections that pops up and asks...
I have a situation that has been perplexing us and has caused the server farm migration to come to a halt until we can resolve it. What is happening is this:
We have a Citrix server farm of NT4.0 TSE and MetaFrame 1.8 that we are migrating to Server 2k3 and MetaFrame XPe. We have all the...
