    XenApp 6 Basic Questions.

All: I have a few basic questions when it comes to XenApp 6 that i haven't found (yet) the answers to via the Citrix eDoc directory: * I currently have a PS 4.0 farm; can i introduce XenApp 6 to this farm? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but looking for confirmation. * I have a...

    XenApp 5 on Vsphere..

Thanks for the reply. Any particular settings that should be included during the setup? I remember back in Metaframe XP days it was recommended to have two diferent HDD' (OS/DATA) CPU/ Thin Disks / Mem reservations? I'm probably over-thinking a really easy install. But thanks again..

    VoIP setup with IPO 500

Thanks for the doc link. I also found the LAN guide and will pour over those as well. It probably isn't hard at all, but i've never done the setup. I'm still a little curious as to where to setup those phones to use G711 and if i need a separate route for 911 calls. Small little caveats that...

    VoIP setup with IPO 500

All: I'm planning on deploying 9 5610 IP phones connecting back into an IP Office 500. I've never done this type of setup before and I'm hoping you guys/gals can provide me with some guidance (tips, links, how-tos) I'm running a 3com 4500 swith and I've setup QoS (DSCP ef /cos voice), voice...

Simple IP Office 500 Embedded Vmail Question

Thanks Calcomp. The only reason i'm using * + extension is, as confirmed, because it's a requirement when using embedded voicemail. Others have mentioned, although not technically, that the dialing of * before the extension is removed with R6. I'll read through the bulletin and hope that's the...

Simple IP Office 500 Embedded Vmail Question

finally! My Google-Fu is failing me, could you point me to the documentation? When is R6 going to be released?

Simple IP Office 500 Embedded Vmail Question

Based on your reply, i want to assume that with release 6.0 i won't have to dial any character that precedes the extension. Thus removing that feature all together. correct?

    XenApp 5 on Vsphere..

Has anyone installed XenApp 5.x onto a Windows 2008 box inside vsphere 4 (ESX 4) ? I've found documents online that point to best practices with esx 3.5, but could use some pointers for a vSphere install. Best.

Simple IP Office 500 Embedded Vmail Question

Thanks for confirmation. Could you explain how you can do the following? "..you will be able to direct dial to extensions without having to do the above.

Simple IP Office 500 Embedded Vmail Question

I have an embedded voicemail setup and there is a requirement to dial star (*) before an extension (all during the Auto-Attendant) I've been told repeatedly this is a function of the embedded voicemail and there is nothing that can be done. First, is this true ? Second, does version 6.0...

New VMware installation and Exchange errors

Excellent point cabraun. I do remember reading somewhere assigning anything more than 2 processors to exchange is futile, but don't have empirical data in front of me. By changing the processor count, wouldn't this bluescreen the VM, like any other windows box ?

New VMware installation and Exchange errors

The counters should be ran from inside the Exchange VM and the same perfmon counters applie ( disk queue length, etc) Read this: http://www.vmware.com/pdf/Virtualizing_Exchange2003.pdf The problem almost certainly is related to the storage system. the OS/IS/logs are sitting on the same RAID5...

    Port Mirroring.

Okay, I'd like to get the official 3com stance on how to properly configure port mirroring on the 5500g-EI switches. Lets look at the following scenario: Fw(default gateway) - 2/0/24 Ntop/Wireshark machine - 3/0/12 What configuration do i need to set on each port in order for the...

    VoIP codec question

Bandwidth between the two sites is 1.5 Mpbs synchronous. This is a private network running over a Private PVC connection from the ISP. In other words, the communication doesn't traverse many routers or fw's at all. I can ping across using my private LAN IP's. It happens on a single call. I've...

    VoIP codec question

Thanks guys. I'm in NYC. You mentioned system status -- is that an application within the IP office user 4.2 ? I'm relatively new to avaya, but I have a networking background. Could i use any other tool to monitor packet loss, jitter between the two ends ? I know Cain/Abel can sniff and it's...
