I am running Backup Exec 11d on Windows Server 2003 SP2 Standard Edition
Backups had been running fine for months, then last week, these errors started to show up:

This is totally brilliant. Thank you so much.
Not only did it decrease my backup size by 4GB, but it excluded a corrupt email message in someone’s delete items folder that was causing backups to report a failure.
It looks to me like the syntax (Path: \\*\*\*\*\Deleted Items )...
It is a business requirement to do the brick level backups.
So if anyone knows of a way to exclude everyone's deleted items I would like to try it.
Thanks, HRC
I am trying to exclude all users’ MS Exchange Deleted Items folders from the selections list.
Veritas Document ID: 266074 (http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/266074.htm) tells how to do so, as follows:
“You can easily exclude specific folders and subfolders from the backups by using the **...
Okay then, I found a starting point:
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/254212.htm
I will turn on logging an let you know what I find.
Thanks for the tip.
I would love to uncheck the email, but how do I find it?
It is not in a user's mail box. So I don't know where to start looking.
I hav reied excuding wild cards like *C057943874EEFA65EAE19* to no avail.
So I continue to ge this message every day.

Hi, sujump and steveot, thank you both for your comments.
The problem was indeed related to server services.
It turned out that the business owner had installed a new application with out checking in with IT support (yours truly).

Before the change, the job backed up 2.4GB in 7 hours 18 minutes.

I got Dell support on the line last night, and they had me run a DSET report, which showed the drives are actually RAID 1+0 and are healthy
I think the number of folders is the key. I check against another server that runs normally and...
I am not sure.
This is an unusual box for me. Mostly I see HP servers with SCSI RAID 5 arrays.
Any idea how I can determine the RAID config on this Dell box without shutting down and going in the the ROM Based Config Utility?
Is there a Dell equivalent of the HP Management homepage?

It has a Standard IDE C: drive for the OS, plugged straight into motherboard.
It has 0nly RAID One on Data the...
