Thanks for your ideas, I have tried to delete all of them actually, none of them can be deleted. Note I have a backup of my AD, just in case I did manage to remove an active one.
This has been happening for a few months, I have two new Windows 2003 DC's ready to go which will replace server-a...
I have 2 Windows 2000 DCs, server-a and server-b. server-a has all of the FSMO roles. I am getting a lot of NTFRS errors in the event log because in AD sites & services, there are three NTDS entries for server-b, so two of them are obviously out of date and should be deleted. I have has to...
Auditors need to see current groups and shares, is there a free, or a half decent app out there that I can view and eother print, or export the server's share, and group info? What I need is to show the auditors the shares, what users have rights to the shares, groups, what users are in the...
This hopefully is an easy one, although I couldn't find any answer here or anywhere else on the internet.
I need to be able to log on as a domain user from a PC that has not been joined to any domain.
The reason for this is because visitors need to be authenticated to the domain before...
I have two WIndows 2000 DC's, about 4 years old now. One DC is called "server-b", the other "backup". I noticed when I went into Active Directory Sites and Services, Sites, Default-First-Site-Name, Servers, and under the server-b, and backup, I have NTDS Settings which is normal, the backup...
That is a good point... I do have two nics, the other one is disabled becuase it was flaky. I can't remove it because it is onboard. It used to have the same IP address though. Could this be the problem?
I have two Windows 2000 DC's, the FSMO is 192.168.0.21, the other one is 192.168.0.20. The wierd thing is on the DC that has an IP address of 192.168.0.20, in the GUI Internet Protocol properties tab shows no ip configuration, it's like it is running of of DHCP. When I do an ipconfig /all, it...
I have pretty much the same configuration, and I was thinking about running fibre until I saw how much 3 fibre modules would cost. One fibre module for each end and a spare. A nice 12 port L2 switch with an enclosure and a UPS would be way less than half of the cost for a fibre run, so would...
My appologies, I worded that incorrectly. The meeting actually starts at 1pm EST, but when I send the meeting request, it shows up on his PC for 1pm PST, it should say 10:00am PST. I double checked both PCs, there are in the proper time zone, mine is EST, his is PST.
I am trying to send a meeting request to a fellow employee out west. I am in EST, so the meeting starts at 10:00am. Since he is on PST, it is showing up 3 hours earlier at 7:00am. How can I make the meeting show up on both of our calanders at 10:00am?
There are some IMail 3rd party utils...

You can use Imail to filter out a lot of you spam either by using the rules.ima file, or the anti-spam feature in Imail. What version are you running?
This is a weird one. We have two WIndows 2000 domain controllers with about 80 pcs on the network. We have one NAT subnet, with a T1 connection to the web. The network speed is 10/100 mbps, we also have a mixed array of hardware switches and hubs, cat3, cat5, cat5e, and cat6 cabling. My PC is...
