Did you upgrade sddpcm previously and didn't reboot afterwards?
Upgrading sddpcm implies updating the methods for discovering and defining disks. The upgrade can be done in flight, but certain fixes only become active after a reboot. This is true for the methods ....

I have experienced the same slow interaction with version 7. I got sick an tired of it and decided to do a fresh install of version 7, where I had previously upgraded from 6 to 7. This solved everything for me!
Assuming that the client nodes have disk access through vscsi adapters on both vio-servers, I would take following steps:
- disable the paths to the disks on all client nodes through vioserver1
- ugrade vioserver1 to level 1.5.1.1-FP-10.1
- reboot vioserver1
- update sddpcm and host attachment...

The next solution DOES work:
make the exports accessible for NFS version 3 and mount the exported directory on Solaris with mount -F nfs -o vers=3 hostname:directory mountpoint

I'm trying to build an install source for SLES 9 PPC. I'm sure I had the commands to mount an iso image and copy the files in the image to my NFS filesystem, but ..... I don't remember where I left these commands!
Can anybody tell me how I can mount an iso image?

Hi IOna,
1: the exclude_file is a resource on the NIM-server. It is a list of files and/or directories that should be excluded from the mksysb. It is NOT the same as the /etc/exclude.rootvg file on the NIM-server.
2: You can define different exclude_files resources for different clients if...
Hmmm, looks a little bit like an incomplete driver... Did you install the latest fixpack fot VIO-server? Fixpack 6.2 is out. Take a look at http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/set2/sas/f/vios/download/home.html
