what os are you running?
you can use the scan cmd to see what drives are able seen by the server that is controlling you robotic. and obvious the device monitor thru the gui will tell you drive NBU currently has configured
I use bpmedialist -summary | grep -i frozen
check out your bptm log to see WHEN the tape was frozen. you will have to do a little more snooping to what exact drive did the freezing of the media
are you running on the windows or unix system?
I know in 6.0 (unsure if the cmd is there on 5.0???) you can use bpduplicate...pretty simple. bpduplicate -? will give you the switches that you need
I changed my root directory in the apache settings (through yast) and now I am able to view by page ok without any access errors.
now I just have to figure out what the deal with all the modules, and other settings : )
now I have tried to configure the dhcp server in yast and I am getting "access forbidden" when I try to navigate to http://localhost or anything other page. I accepted the defaults thinking it would keep the configs the same, but I believe that I blew it up in the process.

I have ran sgscan, and it doesn't come back with the new robot. I think my issue is with my HBA. The thing is that I already have another, older quantum robot connected to my master server. I will try again Monday to emsure that the zoners are set up properly.

I have a Solaris 9 master server and I am trying to get a new robot hooked up in Netbackup env.
Does anyone know what files (st.conf, etc) I need to edit so the OS sees the new robot? Here is some info:
master server: sun e450, running solaris 9
robot: quantum px720

yeah, robtest is the best way to know that you can talk to your robot. if you don't get a "mode sense complete", chances are it is not set up correctly or it is a hardware problem
I use this script to change what media server is used for a restore. You will need to enter the old media server and the new one, along with the dates that the backup was taken. Let me know if it helps:
