Well first of all I think that you having that many fonts is pointless, but if you have the space for them then so be it. But what you can try is maybe the folder that the fonts are being stored into is full, maybe you could create a new folder and start installing your remaining fonts in that...
It would be alright to delete everything in your temp folder, because everything that ends up in that folder is useless and takes up alot of memory in doing so. So I would recommend that you delete everything in it. Well hopefully this is what you was wanting to know.
Well I am not an expert by any means. It sounds like what you said someone told you, and that is that your start up files are written on bad sectors of the hard drive. maybe you should format the hard drive and reinstall everything and that should take care of the problem. Good Luck!!

OS windows 95 uses alot of memory maybe you should check to see if you have enough memory or maybe you should check and see what all you have loaded into the startup menu, you might have some stuff in there that you don't need in the startup. Well hopefully this helps. Good Luck!!
