Site-Site VPN works on one subnet only!

Hi all Have set up Linksys-Linksys VPN successfully and works great using two model AG241's. The remote site has two subnets. Setting up with one subnet works and all is well. As soon as I change the "Remote Secure Group" to "Any" or 192.168.0.0, I cannot see the remote site, although the VPN...

Does Anyone use a Packet Shaper?

We have also been looking for something like this. However, I recently upgraded one of our 4100's to v4.0.0.2 It was mentioned that QoS can now be done at the application level. A packet shaper is supposed to provide QoS, compression and acceleration. How does the Sonicwall compare...

Thanks for the prompt. Looks like 4.0.0.2 is now on General release, for the 4100 anyway.

    Dell Powerconnect

Hi Can anyone tell me if these switches are reliable. Currently we are using HP procurve switches and the powers above want to get these switches from now on for new sites and add to the existing network to cut cost. I think this may be fals econmy, but having said that I don't know much about...

    linkling up several 2650's...how best?

Thanks, it certainly does. Because we are using voice and data on two vlans would the core switch need to be something like a 2824 as this is POE and 24 x 1Gb ports? 6 2650's are dedicatyed to voice and the other 6 for data only. Plug all 12 into the 2850, but after this I am unsure about how...

    linkling up several 2650's...how best?

Ok we have an office argument, which I hope you guys can clear up. On this perticular site we have 12 procurve 2650's and all are cascaded off each other via the 1GB uplinks. All switches have 2 Vlans. Vlan 1 is for data and the 2nd vlan is for IP telephones. All seems to be working ok. Is...

    ADSL load balance question

Ok, lets call is load balancing as that is really what I am after at the end of the day. Ie, making user of 4 x 7Mb ADSL's. If load balancing only gives you 7Mb out of a total of 4 x 7Mb ADSL's then why are Cisco providing this. I mean what's the point? We are based in Spain with Telefonica so...

    ADSL load balance question

Yes, that is what I ment. Making use of all 4 ADSL's. I heard somewhere that it will only work in one direction and I think it is downstream. So uploading will still be at around 700kbps? How would the other end know what to do with the packets. For example, if the ADSL's are on different...

    ADSL load balance question

Hi Load balancing using a 2800 with 4 x wic ADSL cards. How does the load balance work? For example if we have 4 x 7MB ADSLs (7Mb downstream, 700Kb upstream). Would this then mean around 28Mb downstream and around 3Mb upstream? I cannot imagine how the packets would get to their correct...

Mitel 3300 issues with 2nd IP subnet

Well, the phones get their IP address from the 3300, which is 192.168.48.0 range. Prior to intrioducing the .55 range, the phones used to look at the .47 range then get a .48 address and load up ok. Now, if a phone re-boots, it gets a 55.0 address and hangs. This range works ok for pc access...
