VRM should light up if I remember correctly. If it is totally blown or having an intermittent problem then it might not light at all. If you have tried everything else then that would leave me to believe that the VRM is the issue. Let me know.

If I remember right it is. It was next to the diagnostic LED's on the board. When IBM came though, they replaced the whole board. If you need me to try and dig out some documentation, let me know.

Does anyone see anything wrong with this config. ? I just recently had to switch ISP and got only one IP from my new one. Since then, internet access has been sporadic at best and I cant seem to figure it out. Simple config for the most part other than port redirection to a single internal host...
Its the VRM. Had the same problem on our 4500r. The diagnostic LEDs on the backplane should tell you if that is so. IBM came and replaced the whole backplane but it was the VRM.
Put in an "A" record in your DNS server for www.......Then any host that types www.yourdomain.com will be directed to the webserver. Hope this helps.
Hey guys and girls,
My W2k Server w/Terminal Services recently will not open up the RRAS MMC without displaying the following errors:
(not word for word)
For the logfile-Cannot connect to datastore.
For the policy-Cannot connect to datastore.
After those two messages are acknowledged, the...
Thanks for the help guys. The telco actually sent two techs to both ends of the line and ran tests to no avail. They also ran remote loopback tests from the telco and still found nothing. The errors on the 2611 double that of the 2524. That is what is puzzling. All of the cabling and jacks were...
I have a 2611 w/ a 56k csu/dsu connecting to a 2524 w/ 56k csu/dsu over a 56k DDS line. Upon a show int s0/0 in the 2611 it shows many CRC and input errors, which leads me to my problem. The line goes up and down constantly during the day. The telco has tested the line numerous times only to...
Guys and Gals,
I have a 2600 series w/ a 56k CSU/DSU that seems to go up and down many times a day. I've had the telco. check the line and of course, its fine. Any ideas why this might be happening or what I can do to fix it? Im really at my end here. Thanks.
If I understand you correctly, you are having to change the primary and secondary DNS settings multiple times daily. Seems to me that your ISP's DNS servers are unreliable. Your best bet is to set up your own internal DNS server and point all of your internal clients to it and have it forward...
Short and sweet.
If you have not done so already, have your ISP add the appropriate entries into their DNS for your site, ie. A records, MX records for mail. Then, depending on who you registered with, Network Solutions, etc..... Change your primary and secondary DNS servers with them. Thats...
