We are finally upgrading our Windows 2003 server to 2008 R2. The 2003 server runs Active Directory, domain controller, printers, files, DNS, and DHCP.
The 2008 server is a new box, it's not really "upgrading" the 2003 server, it's replacing it I guess you'd say.
Is there a tool to copy the...
I've got Windows 7 XP Mode running, but it doesn't seem to "see" my local network.
I can browse the web in the XP mode just fine, so it is "networked", but I have a server on my LAN that I want to access from my XP mode computer.
My XP mode computer has a whole different IP range, it's like...
Hmm, can't figure out how to edit my post above.. I had a typo in one of the table names, it should have read:
I've got two tables, one called "MWPATIENTS" and one called "MWTRN". There is a common field called "Chart Number" that is in both tables.
The MWPATIENTS table has all the patient...
I've got two tables, one called "MWPATIENTS" and one called "MWTRN". There is a common field called "Chart Number" that is in both tables.
The MWPATIENTS table has all the patient information such as full name, address, etc.
I need to run a query on the MWCASE table that selects certain...
You know what, for those who thought this was a "useless" thread or worse, check out this recent security release by Cisco.
Cisco Security Advisory: Hard-Coded SNMP Community Names in Cisco Industrial Ethernet 3000 Series Switches Vulnerability...
Agreed, fresh out the box you can use a Cisco switch just fine without ANY configuration. (I realize there are features you can't do with it w/o configuration, but it "works" right out of the box)
The original post was referring to the fiber SFP's anyway, which is what I tested it on, but the...
OK - I just had to test it for myself.
The SHUTDOWN command does turn OFF the LED link light, at least on the 2924 and 2940 I just tested it on.

No problem, although I don't post here as often as some, I've been a member here since 2002.
The replies to what I thought was being a helpful post to people who may not have been aware of the vulnerability really caught me off-guard.

Ah OK, wasn't 100% sure about the shut command, which is why I said "maybe", but that's good to know.
I wonder what solved the OP's issue, he's not been back since it was resolved, my bet is the tx/rx were switched.

Uh, yeah, so my sig points to my website, what's your point?
You think I'm trolling in a Cisco forum trying to pimp out my medical application products? Do I LOOK like a spammer to you?
Should I apologize for having a website in my sig?
Not sure what your problem is.
Not sure how you added...
I switched from AVG to MSE when I got tired of AVG prompting me to buy their pay version. I can't blame them for trying to make some money, but MSE seems as good, and it's free, and hasn't asked for money yet.

I don't block it at my company, but if I did, I'd use OpenDNS.
We have a fairly small LAN of about 30 computers and the users aren't really going to try to get around it if it's blocked.
Most have smartphones anyway that they use FB on.

The sound doesn't work with or without LMI.
I haven't tried just running one VM at a time to see if it then works, but will try that just to see.
Thanks for the suggestion.
But if that solves it, then unless there is a resolution to that, then that's no good for me because I need to run...
In addition to the above, make sure the fiber cable is correctly multimode or singlemode, and that the SFP is correctly longhaul or shorthaul.
By correctly I mean if it's a short distance fiber run (I don't remember the exact specs), make sure you have a shorthaul SPF on both swithes.
