    I looked at the canon USA and european sites and all the drivers seem to be for windows. The recent ones are for Vista and PCL, and I use postscript. I do not see any newer than 10.3 for the mac. I appreciate your suggestion. I will post my question on the apple board.

    yeh, they are all deleted finally. Thanks all for the assistance. Going to delete the recycler folder one more time, hope that will cause a new info file to be created, now that the recycler directory is empty.
