I know its not the router as in my message that I have tried a known good router and the orginal router both do the same.
Also I use a set of static IP's (a range of 15 ip's) and do not use DHCP as my router handles that part.
If 2k3 works the same as 2k server on the VPN side then nothing...

I had VPN setup and working on win2k and now when someone tries to VPN in it looks like its tring to connect but fails with error 721.

just a shot, but I have a problem like this.
the main drive the system was installed on (most times c drive) but if you have a raid card it could be different.
go to explorer. right click on the c drive and click on properties then go to security and see if authenticated users is in the list if...
if the list is on a server, you could run Terminal Server in administrator mode and he could logon and make the changed from anywhere that he has a network connection (unless that site has blocked TS outbond connections on a firewall)....
I have been looking all over for a way to have a logon script run on a clients machine to connect to remote drives and shared folders, one issue the client has to login to there network first, so when they need to VPN into my server the scripts for the user does not run.
Is there a work around...
for security I have all VPN traffic going through the second NIC, I could pot it on a different subnet, but would that make a differance with this issue?
