Just inset the cleaning tape, let it run thru it's cycle and remove, the drive will sense it's a cleaning tape, you do not need to do anything in ARCSERVE. csconner

Yes you can do both with in one backup job.
Modify your current job, go to the scheudle tab, select use rotation scheme, in the scheme name field (drop down box) select 5-day weekly differntial backup, full backup on Friday. down below in the daily scheudle window highlight the day of the week...

Excellent question! I to have wondered if the benfits out weigh any drawbacks. When we upgraded from 6.61 to 2000 we encountered a number of problems and issues that took quite awhile to work thru. I'm leery the same would be true with Brightstor. csconner
