Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I believe the problem was fixed using sfc /scannow, but it never asked me to replace any files, but since trying that the problem is gone. I really appreciate your help. bobbyp21- bobbyp21

The Event Viewer is giving a DCOM error message of the following: The server {601AC3DC-786A-4EB0-EE3521E70BFB} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout This is happened multiple times in the event viewer.- bobbyp21

I'm running XP Pro on a peer to peer network of 6 computers. I had an error on one of the computers last week and it had to do with a corrupted area on the hard drive.
