Thanks Linney, The FIX IT procedure did not work!! Yes, it would appear customers in the US can still get free support but in the UK we are now being charged £46 plus VAT for each call - even for critical security update problems!!

Is this just another example of MS technical sloppiness and trying to effectively blackmail us into buying windows 7: withdraw critical support for XP then charge per faualt in the UK and issue critical updates that don't work!! Am I alone in being fed up or cynical about MS? Issue a product...
