Thanks for the response.
TCP/IPv6 is un-checked.
The IPv4 route table shows both the DHCP default gateway and the manually entered default gateway but the DHCP gateway has a lower metric which is why it is used in preference to the manually entered one.
I have a wireless router that assigns DHCP IP addresses to wireless and LAN clients. The router sets the DHCP gateway IP address to its Lan address which cannot be changed.
On clients that have XP I can configure a manual gateway address to override the DHCP allocated gateway address.
However...
I'm looking to accept text input directly into a table cell or textbox on a web page.
The text needs to be saved in the table on the web page so that returning users see the new text and can change it.
Anyone have any code or ideas how to do this?
Thanks in advance
Can you provide a little more info on this?
Was Exchange installed on your DC? Was it installed on Windows 2003? What OS are the desktops running?
etc.
When you say the "My Documents" and "My pictures" were password protected Do you mean they had NTFS security permissions configured or do you mean a 3rd party product was used to set a password?
If NTFS permissions were set:
Click Tools | Folder Options | View
Remove check from Simple File...
If i'm reading you right on your new DSL routers you will need to add a route that points 192.168.1 / 2 traffic to the VPN tunnel and a default route that points all other traffic to the .254 for Internet access.
Sounds like you need to fix the replication error.
Run replmon.exe from the support tools of the Windows 2003 CD.
This should give you more detailed information as to why replication is failing.
Is your drive formated as FAT32?
If so you are probably hitting the 4GB limit even if your drive is much larger.
Convert to NTFS to make the whole drive accessible.
This is how I would set this up:
Folder structure: Server\FolderA\FolderB
Share FolderA with Everyone Full Control - share name FolderA
Uncheck allow inherited permissions from FolderA
Set NTFS permissions for users who should have permissions.
On FolderB grant User1 NTFS Modify permissions...
A little more information is required to provide you with a good solution.
What do you mean by groups?
Are you talking about 3 separate sites?
Do the groups need to control their own security?
How many users?
Who will be responsible for security?
Etc
Depending on what your requirements are...
